A distinguished medical professional, Dr. Ismail holds board certifications in Internal Medicine, Clinical Informatics, and Healthcare Quality and Management. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine, reflecting his commitment to excellence in clinical practice and healthcare leadership. He earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Ahmadu Bello University and further specialized in Clinical Informatics at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, Massachusetts. At HCM, Dr. Ismail has led the development of proprietary technologies that enhance workforce optimization and drive organizational success. Dr. Ismail is currently leading the company in managing transformative projects, including the tracking health worker productivity in Gombe State, utilizing real-time data to optimize primary healthcare workforce management and improve service delivery. He also spearheads the state’s biometric attendance program, providing technical expertise that has resulted in significant improvements in workforce management, payroll efficiency, and the elimination of fraudulent activities, garnering international attention and attracting further developmental initiatives.
Prior to founding HCM, Dr. Ismail held key leadership roles within the U.S. healthcare system. He served as an attending physician and lead physician informaticist at Verde Valley Medical Center in Arizona, and as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Midwestern University, where he mentored future healthcare professionals.
